The Teeny Tiny Fire Truck Calendars are Here!

The TEENY TINY FIRE TRUCK calendars are here! For those of you who are meeting Kiri for the first time, Kiri is a 1990 Daihatsu Hijet that’s one-sixth the size of a typical American fire truck, or 2 feet shorter than a Mazda Miata. Kiri helped fight fires for 25 years in the little town of Kirigamine in Nagano Prefecture Japan, before being retired and put up for auction. In 2019, my car-geek boyfriend rescued the teeny tiny truck and shipped it to San Francisco.

At first, I thought the whole thing was nuts, but this little car has been an incredible source of happiness and hilarity. Kiri loves to explore the city, wander open roads, join parades, and visit local landmarks and fire stations. Kids light up when they see Kiri (and so do their parents). People wonder and wave! When we brought the teeny tiny fire truck to our local fire station, the firefighters exclaimed with glee.  More than anything, Kiri brings people (and cars) together with joy.

We produced this limited-edition calendar so you can share Kiri's adventures! Even more importantly, profits from the sales of the calendar will be donated to The Cal Fire Benevolent Foundation, an organization that provides financial support to firefighters who have been impacted by wildfires and their families.

From all of us at Connected Dots Media, we wish you a beautiful holiday and a wonderful year ahead.

With so much love,

Leslie

I am hoping to meet the fat man in the red suit.

For your safety and the safety of others, please leave Godzilla alone.

There are moments when I can’t remember if I’m in Japan or California.
