Renowned owner and chef of Square One, and former chef of Café at Chez Panisse in Berkeley, Joyce Goldstein is an expert on recipe development and menu design. Joyce is the author of Mediterranean Fresh, Williams Sonoma Complete Entertaining, Tapas, Italian Slow and Savory, and Back to Square One: Old-World Food in a New-World Kitchen, and her work has been featured in Gourmet, Wine & Food, and The San Francisco Chronicle, amongst other publications.  The Julia Child Chef of the Year (1992), and James Beard Perrier Jouet Award for Best Chef in California for (1993), Goldstein delights food-lovers around the world with her expert, simple, and delicious recipes. She is currently at work on the history of California cuisine, to be published by University of California Press.
