Paul Ekman
We worked with psychologist Dr. Paul Ekman on his book Moving Toward Global Compassion.
In this thoughtful volume, which features an interview with the Dalai Lama, Dr. Ekman offers a new take on empathy and altruism. Dr. Ekman, cited by Time magazine as one of the 100 most influential people in the world, is known worldwide for his expertise in emotions and their relationship to facial expressions. He consulted with the director of Inside Out and served as the basis for a character on the Fox network’s television show Lie to Me.
In addition to producing this book, we connected Dr. Ekman with renowned mapmaker Eric Rodenbeck of Stamen Design. Working with the Dalai Lama, they created The Atlas of Emotions, which is an interactive tool that builds your vocabulary of emotions and illuminates your interior world.
