Postmark Paris
This lyrical memoir shows Paris through the eyes of a child. Connected Dots Creative Director Leslie Jonath conceived and wrote this innovative book, which pairs short vignettes about her childhood adventures in the City of Light with images of the stamps she collected while living there.
Along the way, from stamp to stamp, Postmark Paris illuminates the universal challenges and triumphs of finding one’s place in a world far from home. The stamps sprinkled throughout the book depict works by celebrated painters, sculptors, and artists from around the world—including Michelangelo, Georges Braque, Claude Monet, Pablo Picasso, Eugène Delacroix, and others.
First published in 1998, the book has appeared in multiple editions and has launched a series of articles about the joys and educational benefits of stamp collecting.
