Emma Block
Emma Block, a multidisciplinary illustrator living in London, works across editorial illustration, publishing, packaging, and branding.
Emma’s work is inspired by the people she meets in her everyday life, as well as old photos, vintage clothes, old films, travel, 1950s illustration, 1930s jazz, and sausage dogs. Emma teaches her distinctly modern style in sell-out watercolor and gouache classes in her popular online workshops. She also provides bespoke workshops for corporate events and parties.
We were lucky to meet Emma when we selected one of her images to be on the cover of Everyone Loves Paris. Then we were even luckier to work with her as she created her first book, The Joy of Watercolor.
Now in its sixth printing, The Joy of Watercolor has become a featured part of Emma’s courses and has led to a number of other book and gift projects, including Get Started with Gouache and The Slow Travel Journal.
